Hi my name is Madison C. I decided that I wanted to be in biomed in 7th grade, when we started to learn about pathogens in Ms.Deeter’s PLTW class. At that time I had my heart set on media tech, but then I got an assignment to research staphylococcus and the rest is history. I’m not sure why but staphylococcus was my favorite word for a long time and I loved telling people what it was. Sadly staphylococcus is no longer my favorite word but it is still up there. It was replaced by pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis. So yes, the reason why I chose to be in biomed was because in 7th grade I fell in love with the word staphylococcus.
