Hi everyone! My name is Karla Ru,I am a freshman just like all of ya’ll, and I am really excited for the next year of biomed! This topic is a whole different concept than freshman years biomed and I am siked. The whole idea of the evolution of birth is really new to me and I can’t wait to see how this book will teach me new things. I may not be a book lover, but I am kinda pumped to read “Get Me Out” by Randi Hutter Epstein. One of my favorite books to read is “Out of My Mind” By Sharon Draper and it’s about an illness called Cerebral Palsy which is something a person is born with. This is one of the reasons I want to read “Get Me Out”, I want to see how this illness can occur and why.
““I can’t talk. I can’t walk. I can’t feed myself or take myself to the bathroom. Big bummer.” -Melody
This quote is one of my favorites because it reminds me of how anyone can be a child in a way no matter how old you are, or whether you have an illness. Again, I’m really motivated to really understand this topic. Lastly, I’m just really excited for what our next year of bio brings us just as I look forward to sophomore year!
