I am very excited to get to read this book for my 2016 summer reading. I think it is going to be very interesting and beneficial for us to read and learn more about pregnancies and ways we can make it safer. I enjoy reading quite a bit. My favorite book is Where’d You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple. It centers around a girl who’s only dream is to go to Antartica but her agoraphobic mother is too afraid. One of my favorite quotes from Where’d You Go, Bernadette is:
“You are bored. And I’m going to let you in on a little secret about life. You think it’s boring now? Well, it only gets more boring. The sooner you learn it’s on you to make life interesting, the better off you’ll be.”
I love this quote because it is saying that our lives are completely in our control and how we spend them and our impact on others and the world is up to us.
Anyways, I am very excited for our sophomore year and all of the cool things we are going to learn in biomed!!
