When the year of 2015 started we were given a lot of options but nothing that really appealed to me. But I was trying to be optimistic and I figured I should start a new project since I’m all about helping people and doing what I want to do.

This is kind of the design we want for our coffee making alarm.
I remembered in the beginning of the year how me and Rosa wanted to design a athletic band of some sort that counts and tracks reps or miles or basically did whatever you need it to do. But we were put in a group and told to start making a car seat which is something I didn’t really care about, especially since I don’t like kids.
Now we are doing something that I actually enjoy and like. The only thing the 1st semester was good for was road mapping to get this new project done. Our newest project idea is to create a coffee maker! But not just any coffee maker. A coffee maker that is an alarm clock too! An alarm clock that is set up in the kitchen, but is connected via Bluetooth to a speaker in the bedroom. You cannot turn the alarm off while in the bedroom, you must get up and turn it off in the kitchen. When the alarm goes off it starts to brew you a cup of coffee from the settings you placed last night and if you forget to make your settings it will use the previous days.

I really like this project because it helps such a wide range and variety of people. Literally millions of people. It’s exactly along the basis of what I want to do. We still have a lot of work ahead of us but I think we can get somewhere which is better than nowhere.
I love the idea of an automated coffee maker! As a coffee lover myself, I can relate to wanting a coffee maker that does more than make coffee (imagine that). I really like the idea of it being an alarm clock because I don’t know about you but it’s hard for me to get up in the mornings. The idea of an alarm being in a completely different room sounds golden. I’m really happy for you that you are doing something you want to do. That’s the key to enjoying life, I think. But anyways, I wish you luck on your new invention, I can’t wait to see it in action!
